Real-time collaboration key to New Zealand’s first dual hotel completion

The customer, Ignite Architects, faced the challenge of collaborating with design firm SJB in Sydney to deliver New Zealand's first dual-branded hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel restrictions and a complex design brief required seamless, real-time cloud collaboration to keep the project on schedule. They used Autodesk's AEC Collection and BIM 360 (now part of Autodesk Construction Cloud) to enable this remote workflow.

Autodesk provided a cloud-based platform that hosted live, synchronized models, eliminating the inefficient process of manually transferring files. This solution enabled fast decision-making and fostered trust between the distributed teams. The measurable result was a significant saving in hours previously dedicated to file exchanges, leading to the project's successful on-time completion despite the pandemic's challenges.
