Case Study: Ramboll improves stadium collaboration and sustainability with Autodesk BIM and GIS

A Autodesk Case Study

Preview of the Ramboll Case Study

Ramboll scores goals for Wrexham A.F.C. with BIM and GIS

Ramboll, a global engineering, design, and consultancy company, was engaged to provide MEP, civil, and structural engineering services for the redevelopment of Wrexham A.F.C.'s stadium, including a new 5,500-seat stand. Their challenge was overcoming siloed operations between environmental and design teams, which hindered collaboration, data exchange, and accurate spatial planning for the large-scale project.

To break down these silos, Autodesk provided its solutions, including Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, and the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as a common data environment. This integration with Esri's ArcGIS allowed Ramboll's teams to pilot the combined use of BIM and GIS for the first time. The results were improved collaboration, real-time data access, and more informed decision-making, leading to enhanced design quality, better environmental impact assessment, and a more efficient workflow that considered everything from terrain and utilities to noise and traffic.
