Milton Keynes University Hospital Redefines Patient Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud

Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH), part of the UK Government’s New Hospital Programme, faced inefficiencies from gaps in its building data and a lack of ‘as‑built’ asset information that limited estate management and patient‑facing service improvements. To address missing operational details (for example, glass tint specifications) and to support better project collaboration, MKUH worked with Symetri and adopted Autodesk Construction Cloud solutions from Autodesk to drive digitisation and cross‑functional working.

Using Autodesk Construction Cloud — including Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Tandem and Autodesk Revit — MKUH built a Common Data Environment and a COBie‑linked model that centralised 3D models, 2D drawings and O&M manuals, creating an early digital twin. The Autodesk implementation delivered version control, alignment with ISO 19650, improved collaboration with supply‑chain partners, and clearer asset data capture, enabling the Trust to own its CDE, iterate workflows in real time on future builds and improve the quality of patient services.
