Masters of Extreme Construction Build in the Most Challenging Landscapes

GE Johnson, a Colorado-based builder with more than 40 years of experience in extreme climates, faced challenges from weather, limited access to materials and labor, and remote logistics on projects such as the $50M, 38,000‑sq‑ft Pikes Peak Summit Complex and The Oasis at Death Valley. To manage those risks and complexities, GE Johnson adopted Autodesk tools—Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360—to visualize designs, coordinate trades, and manage field workflows before crews ever arrive on site.

Using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks for virtual modeling and scheduling and BIM 360 for QA, punch lists, photos, and notifications, GE Johnson substantially improved coordination, enabled off‑site prefabrication and year‑round work, and reduced site delays. Autodesk’s solutions let the team “plan and replan” in virtual space, avoid wasted inspector trips (preventing a three‑hour round trip), accelerate inspections and quality checks remotely, and successfully deliver complex projects in extreme environments.
