Case Study: BAM Group Ireland improves construction quality and averts cost and safety risks with Autodesk

A Autodesk Case Study

Preview of the BAM Group Ireland Case Study

Machine learning helps builders improve construction quality and avert cost and safety risks

BAM Group Ireland, an operational company of Royal BAM Group and Ireland’s largest civil engineering and public-works contractor, faced tight margins, paper-based workflows, and limited visibility into quality and safety issues across projects. To modernize operations and reduce risk, BAM partnered with Autodesk, adopting Autodesk BIM 360 (including Insight) and Construction IQ alongside Revit and Navisworks to digitize data capture and streamline project information.

Autodesk implemented a solution that ties mobile field capture to BIM models and applies Construction IQ’s machine-learning analytics to prioritize high-risk issues. The rollout cut open issues substantially, delivered a 20% improvement in on-site quality and safety and a 25% increase in staff time focused on high‑risk items, and enabled projects like Brewery Quarter to be 95% digital—reducing paper and improving decision-making across BAM Group Ireland’s portfolio.
