ÜZ Lülsfeld, a regional electric utility serving about 125,000 residents in northern Bavaria, faced rising volumes of private solar and wind hookups, strict regulatory reporting requirements, and inefficiencies from maintaining asset data across multiple systems. Using Autodesk’s software, ÜZ consolidated 600,000+ features and 6 million attributes into a single system, enabling staff across the organization to access up-to-date network data in real time. The Autodesk-based solution shortened renewable-connection approvals by 50x, produced regulatory reports 10x faster, cut paper use by 75%, reduced work-order creation from 2 hours to 18 minutes (saving one FTE ≈ $60,000), and delivered total annual savings of about $125,000.
