A Autodesk Case Study
Munden Fry Landscape Associates, a landscape architecture firm, undertook the challenge of designing one of California's first residences to meet the rigorous Living Building Challenge certification, requiring a regenerative, net-positive design. They used Autodesk AutoCAD to collaborate with the project architects and tackle complex design parameters involving water harvesting, greywater systems, and the preservation of the natural site.
Using Autodesk AutoCAD, the firm integrated surveys and arborist maps to evaluate the site, preserve trees, and plan infrastructure on a steep slope. The solution facilitated seamless collaboration and precise design work at all scales. As a result, Munden Fry successfully created a sustainable landscape design that works in tandem with the home to protect the local ecology and meet the stringent certification requirements.
