Case Study: Astro Lighting achieves streamlined product development, instant data access and real-time visibility with Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle

A Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle Case Study

Preview of the Astro Lighting Case Study

How Astro Lighting in 6 months redefined their core product development processes through Cloud-based PLM

Astro Lighting, a UK-based designer and manufacturer of contemporary residential and external lighting with operations in the UK, Singapore and the US, was adding over 200 new products a year and drowning in fragmented product data. Specifications lived across Access, Word and Excel and a giant spreadsheet; quotations and new product introduction (NPI) relied on manual collation and informal, undocumented workflows, causing slow reporting, low visibility and the risk of overlooked steps.

Astro implemented Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle Cloud PLM—starting with 12 users and expanding to over 30—to centralize product data, formalize NPI workflows and add revision control. The cloud-based dashboard gives instant, anywhere access, faster management reporting, better resource allocation, improved engineering productivity without headcount growth, and a clear plan to extend PLM to suppliers and quality control.
