How D&E Air Conditioning Is Connecting Data to Drive Predictive Maintenance

D&E Air Conditioning, one of Australia’s largest mechanical contracting companies, wanted to digitise its service maintenance program and move toward predictive maintenance to improve service quality and reduce downtime. The company had been relying on paper-based processes that made it difficult to manage documentation consistently across jobsites and support efficient maintenance decisions. Autodesk Construction Cloud, using BIM 360 Ops, was introduced to help unify and modernise these workflows.

With Autodesk Construction Cloud’s BIM 360 Ops, D&E Air Conditioning standardised digital maintenance forms, improved real-time reporting, and made it easier to organise and share compliance records and technician updates. The rollout expanded from an initial three-site pilot to 20 sites in seven months, and tasks that once took hours now take about 10 minutes. Autodesk Construction Cloud also helped D&E improve consistency, technician productivity, and data access, laying the groundwork for future predictive maintenance and tighter integration between design and operations.
