Arkansas Children’s Hospital- How A Fully Populated, Digital Facilities Maintenance and Operations Plan was Achievable on Day One

Arkansas Children’s Hospital needed a way to ensure its new Arkansas Children’s Northwest facility could open with a fully populated CMMS and complete asset data ready on day one. The hospital worked with Autodesk Construction Cloud, using Autodesk BIM 360 to create a common data environment for design, construction, and handover so facilities teams could avoid starting operations with missing information.

Autodesk Construction Cloud implemented a process to collect asset data throughout the project, support digital punch lists, and train facilities staff during the transition to operations. The result was more than 2,700 assets ready at opening, a smoother Joint Commission survey, and estimated first-year savings of nearly 2,100 staff hours. The hospital also cut work order response times by 15 minutes per ticket and reduced follow-up calls, saving about 500 hours per year.
