Amazon’s construction and transportation engineering team, led by Senior BIM Manager Nima Jafari, was working to modernize how it plans and delivers fulfillment center projects across North America and parts of Europe. A key challenge was replacing a fragmented stack of 57 different software tools and overcoming resistance to new processes by moving teams toward a more connected, data-driven workflow. Autodesk Construction Cloud, including BIM 360, was identified as the platform to help create that common data environment.

Autodesk Construction Cloud provided Amazon with a single point of access for multiple tools, helping standardize collaboration across owners, architects, construction teams, and sustainability stakeholders. Jafari said Autodesk’s familiar interface, security, and support made adoption easier, while the platform’s data foundation positions Amazon to use AI and Construction IQ for better risk management, faster timeline estimates, and improved productivity. No specific quantified ROI was shared, but the expected impact is stronger efficiency, better implementation, and smarter project forecasting.
