Case Study: KBR achieves digitized, paperless construction and real-time visibility with Autodesk BIM 360

A Autodesk BIM 360 Case Study

Using BIM 360 on an Industrial Construction Project

KBR, a global provider of engineering and construction services, faced a large $500M EPC project on the Texas Gulf Coast where paper-based field workflows, immature WorkFace Planning, and slow delivery of engineering information were limiting productivity and visibility. To digitize project execution and extend model-led coordination to the field, KBR implemented Autodesk BIM 360 across engineering, procurement and construction.

Autodesk BIM 360 was rolled out with federated 3D models, published drawings and documents, mobile iPad access, RFI and punchlist workflows, and training—delivering real-time dashboards and automated reporting. The deployment produced 1 federated model, 12,769 drawings, 20,270 tags, 433 RFIs, 808 mechanical completion punchlist items and 2,281 photos (~10+ GB), and drove paperless walkdowns, faster RFI cycles, increased productivity, reduced rework and fewer indirect roles thanks to the visibility provided by Autodesk BIM 360.
