Turner Construction Company uses Autodesk BIM 360 Glue to help keep a complex construction project on track at the Oakland International Airport

Turner Construction Company, a large U.S. construction manager, faced tight risk and coordination challenges on a $26 million central utility plant at Oakland International Airport: dense mechanical and electrical systems, many subcontractors, and the need to keep schedule and budget from cascading into delays. To address this, Turner turned to Autodesk BIM 360, deploying the cloud collaboration product Autodesk BIM 360 Glue alongside Revit and Navisworks–based models to give all stakeholders a shared, data-rich 3D model.

Using Autodesk BIM 360 Glue, Turner enabled secure, mobile access to live models (including an iPad app), consolidated version control and permissions, and integrated the model into pull-planning sessions to speed decision making and reduce rework. The result: accelerated workflows, faster subcontractor adoption, clearer coordination, and measurable impact—the utility plant is nearly halfway complete and progressing on schedule and on budget—and Turner plans to use Autodesk BIM 360 Glue for the next phase.
