PlanGrid helps strengthen the foundation of a family business

JerramFalkus, a family-run construction firm founded in Shoreditch in 1884, was losing time and money because drawings, specs and site markups were slow to reach teams and changes weren’t tracked consistently. Project leader Martin Hickey trialed Autodesk BIM 360 (PlanGrid) as a tablet-based, SaaS way to get up-to-date drawings, photos and issue tracking into the hands of site staff and reduce delays and rework.

Autodesk BIM 360 (PlanGrid) was rolled out on a complex Brighton job with hands-on training and weekly support; the pilot delivered on time and on budget with minimal defects and led to company-wide adoption. Over four years JerramFalkus ran 18 projects, uploaded 20,000 drawings and 3,500+ photos through the platform, cutting response times, reducing rework, saving site-hours, and improving collaboration and as-built recordkeeping.
