Navigant uses Autodesk BIM 360 Glue to improve stakeholder collaboration on a multi-million dollar medical office building

Navigant Consulting, an international firm based in Chicago, was hired to oversee the planning and construction of a multi‑million dollar medical office building under a tight Guaranteed Maximum Contract. Faced with complex systems (medical gas, pneumatic tubes, sterile floors) and a narrow budget/schedule gap, Navigant needed better stakeholder collaboration and faster clash detection, so they adopted Autodesk BIM 360, specifically the cloud‑based Autodesk BIM 360 Glue service, to give teams timely, shared access to the project model.

Autodesk BIM 360 Glue was integrated with the owner’s existing documentation system to provide real‑time 3D model access, streamline coordination, and enable remote participation. With Autodesk BIM 360, Navigant and project partners prevented more than 1,200 meaningful clashes before issuing construction documents, kept the project on schedule and within budget, reduced travel and coordination time, and led the owner to mandate Autodesk BIM 360 Glue for future projects—more than 100 professionals will use it for RFIs, submittals, and ongoing coordination.
