Max Bögl Group takes the intelligence of the BIM process into the field to save time and enhance quality

Max Bögl Group, Germany’s largest privately owned construction company, piloted Autodesk BIM 360 (using BIM 360 Field and BIM 360 Glue) to extend BIM intelligence into the field. The firm sought to replace paper‑based QA/QC and safety inspections—where inspectors could spend up to 40% of their time on documentation—with a mobile, model‑driven workflow on a shopping mall project.

Using Autodesk BIM 360, Max Bögl linked an aggregated Navisworks model to the cloud, delivered it to iPads via BIM 360 Glue and BIM 360 Field, and installed more than 350 QR codes to jump to exact 3D locations. The solution cut office paperwork to 20% or less of inspectors’ time, increased time spent in the field by about 20%, sped issue resolution, improved QA/QC and safety visibility, and has been expanded to additional projects.
