Leading Australian builder extends BIM across the enterprise

Hansen Yuncken, a leading Australian construction firm founded in 1918 with more than 650 employees and over A$1 billion in annual turnover, faced fragmented information silos and paper-based field processes as it rolled out its in-house HYway collaboration platform. To bring complex 3D BIM data into HYway and digitize site workflows, Hansen Yuncken adopted Autodesk BIM 360—using the BIM 360 Field application—to better capture and share field information across the enterprise.

Autodesk BIM 360 was integrated with HYway via an API to enable mobile data capture on iPads, convert paperwork into onsite digital workflows, and improve jobsite quality, safety, and commissioning processes. The integration cut reporting time dramatically (business development pipeline views that once took days now take two to three minutes), eliminated lengthy office commutes for safety staff, sped up onsite task completion, and delivered greater transparency and faster, better-informed decision making across Hansen Yuncken.
