How Tata Realty Achieves ‘More With Less’ Through Construction Technology

Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited (TRIL), a Mumbai‑based subsidiary of Tata Sons, faced fragmented project data and complex coordination challenges across large, multi‑trade developments such as the TRIL IT City. To improve efficiency, quality and lean working practices, TRIL selected the Autodesk BIM 360 platform to digitize workflows, centralize project data and enable real‑time collaboration across design and construction teams.

Using Autodesk BIM 360, TRIL ran a phased pilot with training for 40 managers, standardized folder/access structures and shifted teams to 3D model coordination (including BIM 360 Glue). The solution cut weekly meeting time from 1 hour to 20 minutes (60% time savings), enabled design issues that previously took 2–3 workshops to be resolved in about 5 minutes, surfaced and resolved hundreds of clashes early, reduced paper use, and earned a technology usage rating >7/10; rollout is expanding to seven more commercial and 12 residential projects.
