How S&P is Gaining Speed and Transparency in Precon to Win with Owners

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P), an ENR Top 400 contractor and K–12 market leader in Texas, faced growing owner demands for speed, accuracy and transparency during preconstruction to win and retain work. To meet those expectations S&P implemented Assemble, an Autodesk software solution delivered through Autodesk BIM 360, to condition, query and connect BIM data across design and construction workflows.

Using Autodesk BIM 360’s Assemble, S&P moved to model-based takeoffs, automated change tracking, visual variance analysis (e.g., clearly showing a 2,500 sq ft wall removal vs. 4,600 sq ft addition), phased sequencing and percent-complete production tracking with three-week lookaheads. The result was faster estimating and QA/QC, quicker owner decisions, reduced RFIs and downstream change orders, more efficient subcontractor vetting, and a measurable improvement in precon speed and transparency that helped S&P win more work and strengthen owner relationships.
