A Autodesk BIM 360 Case Study
Robertson, one of the UK’s largest family‑owned construction and support services businesses, faced the complex challenge of delivering the one‑of‑a‑kind Stirling Health & Care Village — a £35 million, 100+ bed facility that integrates healthcare and residential care — while improving on‑site coordination, QA/QC, snagging and project handover. To meet these demands Robertson adopted Autodesk BIM 360 to give teams mobile access to drawings and 3D models, digitize workflows, and increase visibility across the supply chain.
Using Autodesk BIM 360, Robertson deployed mobile document and 3D model access, QR‑code location tracking, Daily Diaries for labour logs, photo capture, and digitized snagging and QA/QC workflows. The result was faster, more accountable issue resolution (snagging time savings exceeded the training time), smoother handovers, and immediate ROI — the £35m Stirling project was delivered on schedule in autumn 2018, clients had full transparency into progress, and Robertson established reusable benchmarks and improved subcontractor evaluation for future projects.
