How Lexco Is Using Construction Data to Bring Next-Generation Healthcare to the Caribbean

Lexco, a leading construction management firm in the Caribbean and Central America, faced the challenge of delivering the Nueva Ciudad Sanitaria Dr. Luis Eduardo Aybar — a 12‑building, 1.6 million sq. ft. next‑generation hospital that must meet WHO, AIA, JCI, ADA and LEED‑level standards. To overcome limited regional familiarity with BIM and coordinate a large, multi‑stakeholder project, Lexco adopted the Autodesk BIM 360 integrated construction data platform and supported adoption by training 32 subcontractors on Autodesk Revit (via local partner TriArt Group).

Using Autodesk BIM 360 to centralize construction data and the BIM model from design through handoff, Lexco sped design, reduced change orders, tracked site productivity, and made more informed material and design decisions. The platform enabled 28% faster procurement for long‑lead items, improved selection of durable, hygienic finishes, and established the project as the first in the region to use the BIM model for ongoing facility management — demonstrating measurable schedule and operational benefits from Autodesk BIM 360.
