How Granite Construction Keeps Teams Connected In Ever-Changing Conditions

Granite Construction, a large heavy‑civil contractor working on remote and fast‑moving projects, faced fragmented communications and time‑consuming manual email logging that left critical project correspondence buried in personal inboxes and spreadsheets. To centralize communications and improve real‑time collaboration, Granite adopted the Correspondence tool in Autodesk Construction Cloud/Autodesk Build — implemented through Autodesk BIM 360 — to replace their manual processes and create a single source of truth.

Using Autodesk BIM 360’s Correspondence tool, Granite consolidated emails, attachments, and project records into Autodesk Build, enabled searchable and filterable correspondence threads, and gave field teams mobile access to respond from iPads. The solution eliminated repetitive manual filing, reduced data silos, and has been rolled out on more than 400 projects, improving transparency, speeding approvals, and cutting the time and risk associated with document control.
