How Connected Construction Data Helped Verkís Win on 3 Major Jobs

Verkís, the oldest consulting engineering firm in Iceland, needed better workflows and more fluid cross-discipline collaboration to meet BIM requirements on complex geothermal, hydroelectric and industrial projects worldwide. To address coordination, quality and delivery challenges, Verkís adopted Autodesk BIM 360’s Glue to enable connected construction data and cloud-based model sharing.

Using Autodesk BIM 360 Glue, Verkís implemented automatic clash detection, early multi‑discipline coordination, 3D design review and Revit integration (with VR for layout testing on one project). The results: on the Swimming Hall project clashes dropped to under 100 per rule within six weeks and ended with zero clashes at final delivery, significant travel savings through remote collaboration, reduced rework and clearer information for contractors and owners—leading Verkís to make Glue their standard collaboration tool.
