How Clancy Construction Updated Workflows Using Construction Software

Clancy Construction, an award‑winning Irish contractor founded in 1947, faced the challenge of modernizing long‑standing paper workflows to stay competitive, comply with evolving regulations (like Ireland’s Digital Roadmap and PAS 1192 expectations), and scale collaboration across projects. To meet this need they evaluated and adopted construction software, ultimately implementing Autodesk BIM 360 as their field management and cloud collaboration platform.

Using Autodesk BIM 360, Clancy shifted companywide from paper checklists to digital checklists linked to Inspection Test Plans, centralized drawings and markups, and mobile issue/defect management; they also integrated QR codes tying site elements to BIM 360 for tracking deliveries, installations and QA/QC. The result is a stronger quality and safety program, easier defect capture and closeout, centralized project data for analysis, and compliance with Ireland’s BC(A)R regulations — all delivered through Autodesk BIM 360’s cloud and mobile tools.
