Obayashi Corporation’s Singapore operation faced the challenge of juggling too many construction management tools, which slowed project teams, complicated collaboration with subcontractors and external stakeholders, and created the risk of outdated information and rework. To support its digitalisation goals, the company chose Autodesk BIM 360 and later expanded into Autodesk Construction Cloud as its cloud-based construction management platform.

With Autodesk BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud, Obayashi Singapore created a common data environment, streamlined RFIs, submittals, and model sharing, and improved real-time collaboration across internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors. The results included ISO 19650 certification, faster drawings submission and review, reduced reliance on document controllers, and measurable efficiency gains: model upload/transfer time cut by 32.5%, floor review time halved, and 432 work hours saved per week.
