A Autodesk BIM 360 Case Study
Port of Antwerp-Bruges, a major Belgian seaport, needed to build a digital twin of its assets (sensors, drones and cameras) and improve asset management, but struggled with fragmented information, inconsistent contractor data and sharing up-to-date models across multidisciplinary teams. To address this, the port expanded its use of Autodesk BIM 360—leveraging Autodesk Docs as a common data environment and beginning a transition to Autodesk Build—to centralise project information and standardise BIM workflows.
Using Autodesk BIM 360’s Autodesk Docs CDE and certified BIM workflows, the vendor unified models and documents, enabled model-based clash detection, streamlined approvals and clarified accountability across the supply chain. The result was greater transparency, fewer construction errors, faster issue resolution and the ability to create predictive maintenance schedules tied to the port’s digital twin, improving project quality and laying a foundation for more sustainable, proactive asset management.
