BL Harbert International Adopts Autodesk Construction Cloud to Drive Consistency Across Projects

BL Harbert International, a large general contractor, faced siloed tools and inconsistent coordination after an employee-driven, field-first technology rollout that strained communication, file sharing, and schedule/cost outcomes. To standardize workflows and connect design through handover, BL Harbert partnered with Autodesk BIM 360, expanding from BIM 360 and PlanGrid in the Autodesk Construction Cloud to adopt Autodesk Build and Autodesk BIM Collaborate across projects.

Using Autodesk BIM 360’s ecosystem—notably Autodesk BIM Collaborate for automatic clash detection, grouping, clash filters and Meetings, and Autodesk Build for centralized documentation, automated RFI/submittal reports, and meeting tools—BL Harbert improved coordination, accountability, and real-time information flow. On the $34 million Portico at Perdido project, these solutions reduced downstream rework by catching issues earlier, streamlined biweekly owner/architect meetings, saved time for project managers and field staff, and increased transparency and schedule adherence.
