Autodesk BIM 360 Glue enhances project visualization and collaboration on world’s tallest modular building

SHoP Construction (SC), the Manhattan-based sister company of SHoP Architects, served as project integrator for the 32-story B2 BKLYN modular residential tower. Because large portions of the building are factory‑assembled, SC faced tight fabrication tolerances and needed far earlier, highly detailed interdisciplinary coordination than in traditional projects. To meet that challenge they used Autodesk BIM 360 Glue alongside Autodesk Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, and Revit MEP to consolidate and share an information-rich virtual model.

Using Autodesk BIM 360 Glue’s cloud platform and its direct plug‑in to Revit, SC gave architects, structural and MEP engineers instant access to the latest model, highlighted clashes with markups, and allowed Revit users to open and resolve issues directly. Autodesk BIM 360 moved workflows from weekly, PDF‑based reviews to real‑time collaboration, increasing the rate of evaluation and decision making, reducing coordination delays and change orders, and producing a searchable model that adds long‑term value for facilities management.
