Case Study: Backbone achieves custom low-inventory alerts with Autocode

A Autocode Case Study

Preview of the Backbone Case Study

Casey connects his favorite APIs to keep Backbone running smoothly

Backbone, the mobile gaming controller company, needed a more flexible way to manage inventory alerts as they prepared for the Black Friday and holiday rush. Their team wanted to be notified when stock of the Backbone One dropped below a threshold, but existing Shopify app store tools lacked the customization, speed, and control they needed.

Using Autocode, Backbone’s software engineer Casey Chow built a custom low-inventory notifier that connected Shopify and Slack through webhook and API integrations. Autocode let Backbone launch the automation immediately, streamline alerts from a central code-based location, and keep their team informed in real time with full control over the underlying logic.
