One Call Group, a soft-merge of three independent Merseyside taxi firms — SRC Taxis, A1 Cars, and Excel Private Hire — needed a way to work together without fully merging while still improving coverage, speed, and customer service. They turned to Autocab and its Ghost Booking and Dispatch system to link their operations and better compete with larger fleets and ride-hailing apps.

With Autocab’s soft-merge module, calls are handled first by the company a customer contacts, then seamlessly transferred to the wider group if no operator is available, while jobs are dispatched to the nearest available driver across all three companies. The result has been faster call handling, quicker car allocation, and a smoother passenger experience, with the group processing an average of 60,000 bookings per week and 50% already automated; the success of the rollout also led to South Liverpool Cars joining the group, with another firm set to follow.
