Midwest BankCentre enrolls 140+ SMBs in 2 months with Autobooks

Midwest BankCentre, a community bank serving the St. Louis region, identified a challenge in servicing its growing number of small business customers. These smaller enterprises, often operating from home or online, had unique needs that were not being met by the bank's traditional commercial offerings, particularly for digital payment acceptance and receivables. To address this, the bank partnered with vendor Autobooks.

The solution implemented was the Autobooks integrated invoicing and online payment acceptance platform, offered as free plugins through the bank's existing Banno digital banking system. This provided a streamlined, embedded experience for customers. The results were significant, with over 140 enrollments in the first two months. Furthermore, Autobooks had a measurable impact, as over 120 of those small businesses received a payment within the first four months of the launch, quickly growing the bank's digital small business presence.
