A AutoReturn Case Study

Kansas City, Missouri drives citywide efficiency with AutoReturn

The City of Kansas City used AutoReturn’s Integrated Enterprise System, ARIES, to address long tow dispatch times, poor tracking, manual record-keeping, and underutilized towing operations. The city needed a better way to manage end-to-end tow, impound, and auction processes while improving oversight for citizens, tow operators, and police.

AutoReturn customized ARIES to fit Kansas City’s workflows and helped expand adoption across city departments, turning it into a citywide efficiency tool. The result was faster tow response times of about 11 minutes, more transparent vehicle tracking, easier auctions and reporting, and a 44% reduction in lot staff costs; Kansas City also extended its AutoReturn contract for seven more years.
