A AutoReturn Case Study

City of Rome - Customer Case Study

The City of Rome, Italy needed a better way to manage end-to-end towing and impound operations. Before working with AutoReturn, the city relied on manual, landline-based dispatching and record-keeping, which led to long tow response times, higher costs, unauthorized tows, and frustrated vehicle owners.

AutoReturn implemented its Integrated Enterprise System, ARIES, connected to Rome’s existing CAD system to automate dispatch, bookkeeping, and vehicle tracking. The results included an 80% reduction in response and waiting times, with tow times dropping to about 15 minutes, a 75% reduction in manual processing, centralized record keeping, fewer disputes with towing vendors, and more time for police to focus on public safety.
