How NearMe Solidified Quality by Automating Mobile- And Web-App Testing

NearMe, Inc., a Japanese MaaS company offering services such as nearMe.Airport and nearMe.Town, needed a better way to manage QA as its service lineup expanded. Manual testing was becoming increasingly complex across web and mobile apps, admin/driver pages, and frequent releases, so the team looked for a way to automate routine checks before service expansion. They adopted Autify, including Autify for Web and later Autify for Mobile, to support testing across their growing platform.

With Autify, NearMe automated positive test scenarios for key user flows like booking and cancellation, ran daily regression tests in development and production, and used features such as screenshots, memos, Step Groups, and Slack/email integrations to streamline collaboration and handoffs. The result was fewer post-release issues, stronger quality control, and more peace of mind for the QA team. While the impact was mostly qualitative, NearMe reported no major post-release issues after implementation and noted that automation helped them test more often, find bugs sooner, and spend more time on manual checks for harder-to-automate areas.
