Nando's Centralizing Identity and Access Management with Auth0

Nando’s, the global Afro‑Portuguese restaurant chain with over 1,300 locations and 7 million registered loyalty customers, needed a scalable Identity and Access Management solution to centralize B2E systems and simplify access across increasingly distributed applications. With roughly 1,500 restaurant managers who frequently move between sites, Nando’s required seamless single sign‑on, integration with an existing on‑premise Active Directory, account linking for legacy providers, and fast provisioning/deprovisioning to improve security and user experience.

Auth0’s IDaaS platform delivered a unified authentication layer that integrated their Active Directory, online ordering, loyalty program and third‑party tools (JIRA, Zendesk, AWS), and enabled advanced capabilities like passwordless and multifactor authentication. Using Rules and serverless Webtasks for custom flows and logging, Nando’s rapidly deployed a reliable, scalable solution that centralized provisioning, simplified SSO, strengthened data protection and compliance, and positioned the company to add future features such as social SSO, in‑store identity and contactless payments.
