How Recidiviz Uses Auth0 to Work Seamlessly with Criminal Justice Agencies

Recidiviz is a startup and nonprofit working with corrections leaders, probation and parole officers, policymakers, and justice-impacted people to improve criminal justice outcomes. As the team raced to launch its MVP and needed a secure, scalable way to handle identity, it turned to Auth0 for authentication and authorization.

Auth0 helped Recidiviz get a working username-and-password setup in just a couple of hours, and later supported Single Sign-On integrations for state Department of Corrections systems. With Auth0, Recidiviz has been able to meet security and compliance requirements, improve usability for government partners, and scale its platform to work with 12 state governments, helping over 70,000 people return home safely and saving states $1.1 billion.
