How Nutmeg Tightened Security and Time to Market With Auth0

Nutmeg, a London-based digital wealth manager serving 100,000+ customers, needed an authentication solution that could scale with its product roadmap and regulatory and security requirements. Its in‑house IAM provided only basic login, password reset, and rudimentary MFA and lacked the expertise to evolve, so Nutmeg prioritized stronger customer security (including MFA), federated employee identity, and secure integrations with third‑party financial aggregators.

Nutmeg partnered with Auth0, bulk‑migrating users and enabling protections like brute‑force detection, OAuth flows for third‑party aggregators, and federation with Office 365 AD for staff access. The move freed 2–4 developers from maintaining IAM, accelerated B2B integrations and product launches (including a Junior ISA), and improved Nutmeg’s security posture and time to market.
