How Les Mills Simplified Logins For 140K Fitness Instructors

Les Mills, a global fitness brand delivering life-changing programs for over 50 years, faced a growing identity challenge: some 140,000 instructors logged in to different products with different authentication methods, creating friction and inconsistent experiences. Their native Salesforce-based approach couldn’t adapt to multiple use cases, making the company “difficult to do business with” and forcing a shift to a more customer-focused authentication strategy.

Les Mills implemented Auth0 to unify authentication across its proprietary app and partner/self-service portals, enabling Universal Login, MFA, attribute sharing for personalization, and other flexible features. The project, completed in about three months with Professional Services, improved security, simplified the user experience, and freed developers to focus on core product delivery while ensuring seamless global access for instructors.
