Headspace Finds New Growth Opportunities With Auth0

Headspace, a leading meditation and mindfulness app serving more than 70 million users across 190 countries and delivering services to over 2,000 companies, faced a growing identity-management challenge as it scaled. The team needed a solution that could integrate across platforms, preserve their design, and remove the burden of in-house identity expertise so they could continue expanding securely and reliably.

Headspace selected Auth0 and worked with an Auth0 architect and a four-person transition team to design and migrate their identity system using Auth0’s SDKs, Rules, and Professional Services. The implementation launched in six months (two months to implement, four months addressing user-friction concerns) with no measurable retention loss, and the stronger, scalable identity platform enabled pandemic-era initiatives (free access for unemployed and healthcare workers across multiple countries), new healthcare and B2B partnerships, and access for partners with over 10 million members.
