Auriga worked with a major US-based vehicle manufacturing company that needed an enhancement for a wireless on-board diagnostics device used across a large fleet vehicle line-up. The customer wanted a solution to collect vehicle data for analysis and dealership service maintenance, supporting connected car and IoT capabilities on Linux.

Auriga developed and ported a new wireless driver stack, added advanced USB and hub control features, built a custom USB driver hot-plugging system, and implemented power-saving modes plus boot-time and real-time performance optimizations. As a result, the device can automatically collect VIN, odometer, DTCs, and tire pressure and check for software updates in minutes, while also supporting 360° digital walk-around inspections and technician service history.
