AdvancedTCA Shelf Manager for Telecom Boards

Global Telecom Company partnered with Auriga to develop an AdvancedTCA Shelf Manager for telecom boards, a key component of modern telecommunications chassis. The challenge was to deliver a standards-compliant, high-availability management solution aligned with PICMG 3.x and IPMI requirements.

Auriga implemented an embedded Linux shelf manager running on ARM-based telecom boards, with support for console, RMCP, SNMP, and HTTP access, plus redundancy and hot-swap capabilities assisted by on-board CPLD. The result was the first PICMG 3.x standard-based shelf manager and a platform whose test suite later served as the basis for PICMG-approved interoperability testing, with ongoing support across several hardware generations.
