A Aujas Cybersecurity Case Study
A large banking corporation in the Asia Pacific region engaged Aujas Cybersecurity for a red team assessment. This engagement was mandated by a regulatory body to test critical internet-facing systems. The bank's challenge was to identify existing security flaws and understand if its security controls could withstand sophisticated attacks like network intrusion and data breaches, with the goal of securing privileged access to its most critical assets.
Aujas implemented a comprehensive red team assessment by emulating adversarial attacks based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework. The solution successfully compromised the bank's highest-privilege accounts, bypassed two-factor authentication on payment systems, accessed cloud admin consoles, and exfiltrated sensitive customer data. For the banking corporation, the results provided an evidence-based risk profile, led to mitigation of existing risks, and uncovered serious security flaws to improve the maturity of its Security Operations Center (SOC).
