Trident Technical College, a large public two‑year community college serving Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties in South Carolina, needed a better system to manage continuing education, open‑enrollment and contract training programs. Their previous student system, Ellucian’s Colleague, was not ideal for online registration or executive reporting and was causing lost enrollments. To address those challenges they selected Augusoft’s Lumens solution (including Lumens Professional and the Contract Training module).
Augusoft implemented Lumens to provide modern shopping‑cart registration, robust reporting and an end‑to‑end contract training workflow. The result was streamlined operations and easier reporting for executives, consolidation of proposals/contracts/accounts receivable, and measurable growth: Lumens now manages roughly $5M in annual revenue with about 10,000 open‑enrollment and 3–5,000 contract training registrations, and helped drive a 30% year‑over‑year increase in summer programs. Trident cites improved accessibility, strong Augusoft customer support, and the ability to sustain and grow non‑credit programs as key outcomes.
