Williams builds a 60,000 BOPD Gulfstar FPS with Audubon

Williams, a major energy company, required topsides engineering and modifications for its proposed Gulfstar FPS, a spar-based floating production system in the Gulf of Mexico. The greenfield project needed a design capable of handling significant production volumes and complying with USCG and BSEE regulations. To meet this challenge, Williams enlisted the engineering services of Audubon.

Audubon provided a comprehensive solution that included conceptual design, front-end engineering design (FEED), and project management for the three-level topsides. The vendor's work was based on the proven design of the Gulfstar One, the first spar-based FPS with major components built in the U.S. This engineering effort resulted in a designed system with capacities of 60,000 barrels of oil per day and 120 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
