Private Equity Developer advances 600,000-MTPA hydrogen and CO2 sequestration project with Audubon

Audubon was enlisted by a private equity developer for hydrogen plant design services on a large-scale project in the southwestern United States. The customer's challenge was to develop a facility that would support its energy transition goals toward net zero emissions by producing blue hydrogen and capturing carbon.

The solution implemented by Audubon included conducting a conceptual study, front-end engineering and design (FEED), facility modeling, and financial estimation for the plant. The project resulted in a finalized road map for a facility designed to capture 600,000 MTPA of CO2 for sequestration and produce blue hydrogen to power a 150-MW combined-cycle power generator.
