ONEOK required a pipeline AC interference and mitigation study for two of its pipelines outside Oklahoma City that were to be collocated with proposed HVAC overhead transmission lines. The challenge was to ensure asset integrity and prevent corrosion from risks including safety hazards, coating stress, and AC corrosion. Vendor Audubon addressed this using their Elsyca IRIS software for simulation and analysis.

Audubon performed a comprehensive study to identify AC interference levels under various load conditions. Their solution involved designing and simulating a customized AC mitigation system to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and the prevention of corrosive damage along the pipelines.
