The customer, Murphy Oil Corporation, faced the challenge of delivering reliable power for its King’s Quay floating production system (FPS) in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Vendor Audubon provided power engineering solutions to design a robust offshore power generation and distribution system for this facility.

Audubon designed and implemented a comprehensive power system featuring three natural gas turbine-driven generators and backup diesel sources, all integrated with a power management system for automatic oversight. This solution ensured compliance with regulatory standards and contributed to the successful startup of the FPS, enabling it to achieve a production capacity of up to 80,000 barrels of oil per day.
