Murphy Oil Corporation delivers 80,000 BBL/D from King’s Quay FPS with Audubon

Murphy Oil Corporation contracted Audubon to provide detailed engineering, design, and construction support services for its King’s Quay floating production system in the Gulf of Mexico. The challenge was to engineer and design the FPS topsides for complete oil, water, and gas processing.

Audubon delivered multidiscipline detail engineering, 3D modeling, and process safety analysis for the project. The solution included coordinating with the fabricator to ensure the project stayed on schedule and within budget. The resulting FPS successfully produces up to 80,000 barrels of oil and 100 million cubic feet of gas per day.
