Freeport-McMoRan delivers Davy Jones I + II with Audubon for a 75 mcfd Gulf of Mexico facility

Freeport-McMoRan required engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning services for its new Davy Jones I + II process and satellite facilities, which involved developing a greenfield production platform for a deep, high-pressure gas well in the Gulf of Mexico. The vendor, Audubon, was engaged to provide EPCM services to handle the complex design, which included processing gas with high concentrations of CO2 and H2S.

Audubon delivered a full scope of work including FEED, detailed topside engineering, and project management. Their solution encompassed designing the platforms and production equipment, providing vendor surveillance, and overseeing construction and logistics. The result was the successful design and installation of an 8-pile production deck and a 4-pile satellite facility, engineered to Gulf of Mexico standards for safe and reliable operation.
