Dominion Energy expands Cove Point LNG with Audubon’s 5.25 MTP liquefaction project

Dominion Energy required engineering and project management support for the development of its Cove Point LNG Terminal, a major liquefied natural gas facility in Maryland. The company engaged Audubon to provide owner's engineer services and to manage the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase for this FERC-regulated project.

Audubon delivered a comprehensive solution, managing FEED studies, EPC selection, and providing technical review of the LNG facility design. Their scope of work included environmental and regulatory compliance support, operational readiness, and commissioning assistance. As a result, Dominion Energy successfully developed the Cove Point terminal, which features a bi-directional liquefaction capacity of 5.25 million tonnes per annum and a storage capacity of 14.6 billion cubic feet.
